Large Framed Wall Art
Framing is usually what stops people going large, because a conventional frame at 72 inches becomes heavy, expensive and awkward to mount. A 1 mm aluminium frame with no glazing removes most of that problem.
- Weight stays manageable. Most large formats hold on rated drywall anchors rather than needing structural mounting. Use two anchors instead of one at width so the piece can't rotate out of level.
- No glass to handle. The single biggest risk with large framed art is the glazing — heavy, fragile and awkward for one person. There isn't any here.
- Subject matters more at scale. Landscapes, abstracts and bold graphic work read from across a room. Fine detail overwhelms past about 60 inches.
- Check the route before you order. Anything over 60 inches on the long side needs a clear path from your entrance to the wall. Stair turns are where oversized pieces get stuck.
- One large piece beats a grouping. Calmer to look at, one set of anchors, and no seven-way spacing decision to get wrong.

Framed Wall Art for Living Room Walls

Choosing a Frame Colour

Is there glass over the print?
